Belgium
For the IKEA Distribution Centre in Genk, Belgium, we delivered over 100 complete loading bays. These loading bays are equipped with our curtain dock shelter, swing lip dock leveller & sectional overhead door. From this facility, IKEA will distribute its furniture and accessories to its 8 stores in Belgium.
The Netherlands
In 2015 IKEA opened a new store in Zwolle, the Netherlands. This store is the most sustainable IKEA store in the Netherlands. Besides a solar panel field on its roof, it is equipped with sustainable swing lip dock levellers, curtain dock shelters and sectional overhead doors from Loading Systems. These loading bay solutions are all fitted into dock houses.
The United Arab Emirates
In 2015 IKEA opened its largest distribution centre in the Middle East. This 100.000m² facility is one of the largest logistics projects ever in Dubai. As a preferred supplier from IKEA, we installed 134 complete dock openings.
With a yearly average outside temperature of 33˚C (92.1˚F) and 134 doors opening multiple times a day it is a challenge to maintain a comfortable working environment. To do this we have installed our telescopic lip dock levellers in combination with our sectional overhead doors. To optimally manage the temperatures in the warehouse we installed our inflatable dock shelters.
