Chiquita

Chiquita Brands International originates from an American railway company that started to plant banana plants next to the railroads in Costa Rica. Selling bananas became more profitable. The railway company fused with the Boston Fruits Company to United Fruits Company, which was later renamed to Chiquita Brands International.

The Netherlands

Chiquita Europe, the European headquarters is located in Gorinchem, the Netherlands. This facility also functions as a distribution centre for Chiquita the Netherlands. Imported fruits are shipped from this location to all the distribution centres from the Dutch customers of Chiquita.

The docks at this facility are equipped with our curtain dock shelters, sectional overhead doors and swing lip dock levellers. To position the trucks in the centre of the docks we also installed wheel guides at each dock.
